The main courtyard of the Dar Uthman was planted with a small garden. Galleries ran along the north-east and south west ends. This picture shows the south west gallery (click on it for more detail) and the niche containing a drinking fountain (click on it for more detail).
	The niche in the eastern wall of the garden contained a drinking fountain set inside a smaller niche.
	The gallery along the south western side of the courtyard is decorated even high up. For a view of the north eastern gallery click here
	The north eastern gallery links the main courtyard to the inner entrance rooms (skifla), the doorway to which is seen at the far end.
